APU American International School – Da Nang offers a U.S.-licensed K–12 program at 299 Tran Dai Nghia Street in Ngu Hanh Son District, with both International and Bilingual tracks on one campus. The International Program follows a curriculum licensed by the U.S. Department of Education and aligned with Common Core standards, taught entirely in English. The Bilingual Program meets the Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training requirements while integrating an American standard curriculum, with 12–18 English periods per week and instruction that uses the CALLA model to link English with other subjects. Facilities at the Da Nang campus include laboratories, music and drama spaces, IT rooms, library, cafeteria, and physical education areas. A distinctive feature is APU’s academic pathway: high-school students can take Advanced Placement (AP) courses and join the College Bridge Program to earn U.S. university credits while still at school, potentially shortening their degree by up to two years.
Saigon South International School (SSIS) is a not-for-profit, K–12 international school in Ho Chi Minh City’s Phú Mỹ Hưng community, about 20 minutes from downtown and set along the Rạch Đĩa River. Students learn in English within an American-style program that offers both Advanced Placement courses and the IB Diploma Programme in high school. Facilities include a 7,100 m² STEAM Design Center opened in 2024, featuring a two-story makerspace, robotics lab, visual art studios, independent research labs, and dedicated science labs. Beyond academics, SSIS runs extensive activities such as VEX Robotics, Debate, and Model United Nations, plus vibrant band/strings and theater opportunities. The school enrolls 1,500+ students from over 48 nationalities and provides busing for families.
Wellspring Saigon is a bilingual K–12 school in Binh Thanh District, Ho Chi Minh City. Its international program follows the Massachusetts Curriculum Framework, drawing on Common Core and NGSS standards, and high school students can enroll in AP courses. The Vietnamese national curriculum runs alongside, with English Language Arts, Mathematics, and Science taught in English by international teachers in the primary and secondary years. Facilities and activities support a wide range of clubs, including Science & Technology, Arts, Sports, Cooking, Fashion, and Basketball. Families can use an in-house school bus service with designated stops or home pick-up. A second campus at Saigon Pearl, approximately 100 meters from the current site, is slated to open from the 2025–2026 school year.
The Secondary Campus of BIS HCMC serves students from Years 7 to 13 (ages 11–18) and is located in the Thao Dien neighbourhood of Ho Chi Minh City. Students follow the English National Curriculum through Key Stage 3, move into the internationally recognised Cambridge IGCSE programme in Years 10-11, and complete their studies in Years 12–13 with the IB Diploma Programme. Instruction is in English and the campus offers specialist facilities including science and design labs, robotics rooms, and a professional-scale auditorium. The language options, range of electives, and extensive co-curricular activities ensure students can personalise their pathways. With more than 100 co-curricular activities listed for the campus, students have opportunities to engage in leadership, service, performing arts, STEM and sport alongside their academic programme. The campus is designed to support progression to universities worldwide and to help each student find their strengths.
