The school encourages students to become responsible global citizens through service and leadership. Students engage in community service, explore the United Nations, take on roles in the Student Council, and express themselves through art and theory. They participate in enriching international excursions, broadening perspectives and empathy. The learning environment promotes collaboration, inquiry, and the development of social and communication skills. This holistic approach supports emotional, social, and ethical growth alongside academic learning.
The school provides inclusive, holistic education with additional support for students with special educational needs. Special academic provisions are offered with proper documentation, and the school follows IB guidance on learning support and assessment accommodations. The number of SEN students per class is restricted, and reasonable adjustments are made based on available resources. The school counsellors consider each case individually, and parents must provide complete SEN records to ensure appropriate support. If needed, students with SEN may be referred to specialized schools for optimal development, while those identified at risk receive ongoing learning support.
English is the language of instruction in all grades. Students study an additional language as part of the IB programme. The school supports a diverse student body and is inclusive of learners from different linguistic and cultural backgrounds. The language policy states that English is the medium of instruction and that an additional language must be studied. The school also notes the option of a bilingual diploma within the IB framework, with language choices guided by IB procedures.
The school places well-being at the center of education. The well-being focus ensures that students are supported in their emotional, mental, and physical growth. The Early Years Handbook and related materials emphasize the holistic development of children, including emotional and creative aspects, underscoring the importance of well-being in overall growth. Co-curricular activities and a broad IB program are designed to support healthy, balanced development across academic and personal domains.
The school aims to develop an inclusive, friendly, healthy, and protective environment for students. School counsellors and a psychologist support students, including those with special educational needs. The admissions and inclusion processes involve initial talks with parents, documentation, and assessments to ensure appropriate safeguarding and support, with IB alignment guiding decision-making. The policy emphasizes safeguarding and protective practices as integral to a safe school environment. The inclusion and SEN provisions are implemented with careful consideration of each case, ensuring students' safety and well-being within the IB framework.
