Bright International Academy is an integrated nursery and primary school in Nyali, Mombasa, Kenya, serving children aged 1 to 11. The curriculum blends the British National Curriculum with Islamic studies, offering playgroup through Year 4 integrated learning. In Year 1, Cambridge Primary is followed, covering English, mathematics, science, art and craft, global perspectives and physical education, while staff are British-trained. The Islamic programme includes Tawhid, Seerah, Quran, Qaidah, Arabic and khat, taught alongside secular subjects within a single, welcoming environment. The motto Knowledge is light reflects the emphasis on pursuing knowledge in both faith and reason. Facilities encourage learning through play and include a large outdoor area, a feature that stimulates exploration. Secular lessons emphasize numeracy, literacy, Jolly Phonics, IT, environmental studies and creative arts. Extracurricular activities include taekwondo, pottery, roller skating, swimming and art and craft. The school aims to nurture an Islamic character alongside academic achievement for all.
