The school accepts new students throughout the entire school year. To enroll a child at the Elementary International School of Gdansk, schedule a meeting with the School Principal, in person or online via Google Meet. Open Days are offered to visit and learn about the EISG community. The School Principal makes the final admission decision based on class availability. English language requirements vary by grade; fluency in English is not a prerequisite for admission. After the admission interview, the following steps must be completed: submit the completed application form to the school office; pay the non-refundable application fee; provide a school report or certificate from the previous academic year; submit a completed student declaration sheet; sign a contract; provide a photo for the school ID. Once these requirements are fulfilled, a place is secured for the child. Before the first day of school, provide information on any special needs, dietary requirements, and data protection details. Admissions for Grade 1 are rolling and begin annually on January 29 for graduates of the International Preschool of Gdansk and on February 19 for other applicants, until all places are filled. Admission criteria include date of submission of the school application card; age of the child (priority for those at least 7 years old in the calendar year of starting Grade 1); readiness to start school; having a sibling attending IPG, EISG, or HISG; previous preschool education at a facility run by the Gdańsk Educational Foundation; being the child of a graduate of schools run by the GFO; previous education in an English-speaking kindergarten or abroad. The final admission decision is made by the Principal after the meeting, and parents are informed by email within two weeks. A one-month notice is required to withdraw, and a sign-out checklist must be completed before contract termination.
