Introduction

Curriculum

The Canadian School of Warsaw offers a Primary Year Programme (PYP) as part of the International Baccalaureate. The school became an authorized IB World School on January 6, 2014. The curriculum is a rigorous, inquiry-based programme that empowers students to take action and become lifelong learners, fostering international-mindedness through inquiry and six transdisciplinary themes: Who we are; Where we are in place and time; How we express ourselves; How the world works; How we organize ourselves; Sharing the planet. The school is registered with the Polish Board of Education and prepares students for the PET (Preliminary English Test), the FCE (First Certificate in English), and the CAE (Certificate in Advanced English). The IB programme runs in English alongside the Polish national curriculum, with language support in English, Polish and French to help students achieve proficiency in at least two languages beyond their mother tongue.

Exam Results

Admission is year-round, subject to places being available; if there is no place, the child can be placed on a reserve list. The Principal decides on admission; the first-come-first-served principle does not apply. Required documents include the Admission Form, Agreement on Education (two originals), payment of the non-refundable admission fee, payment of a deposit, previous school certificates or report cards, and completed CSW documentation (consents and declarations). Scans of previous documents are initially sufficient but must be followed by signed originals, and proof of identity (ID or Passport) for both parents and child is required at submission. Elementary admissions: The School operates an open admission policy and welcomes new students at any time during the academic year if places are available. We accept pupils aged 6–14 (Grade 1–8) and teach in English under the IB Programme alongside the Polish national curriculum.
