The Canadian School of Warsaw is an IB World School delivering the Primary Years Programme in English alongside the Polish national curriculum for students aged 3 to 14. The preschool cohort (ages 3–6) follows the PYP in English, while older students study under the Polish Ministry of Education curriculum in addition to IB. The school operates on three Mokotów campuses: Preschool at 53 Krasickiego Street, and Elementary at 7 Bełska Street and 11 Olimpijska Street. It was authorized as an IB World School on January 6, 2014 (Authorization Nr 005004). The PYP uses inquiry-based, transdisciplinary learning across six themes to foster international-mindedness and action. The language program supports proficiency in English, Polish and French, aiming for at least two languages beyond the mother tongue. Facilities include a large gym, a library, an art room, and a soccer field across the three campuses. Extracurricular offerings span music, sport, foreign languages and community service, integrating with the IB and Polish curricula.

The Canadian School of Warsaw offers a Primary Year Programme (PYP) as part of the International Baccalaureate. The school became an authorized IB World School on January 6, 2014. The curriculum is a rigorous, inquiry-based programme that empowers students to take action and become lifelong learners, fostering international-mindedness through inquiry and six transdisciplinary themes: Who we are; Where we are in place and time; How we express ourselves; How the world works; How we organize ourselves; Sharing the planet. The school is registered with the Polish Board of Education and prepares students for the PET (Preliminary English Test), the FCE (First Certificate in English), and the CAE (Certificate in Advanced English). The IB programme runs in English alongside the Polish national curriculum, with language support in English, Polish and French to help students achieve proficiency in at least two languages beyond their mother tongue.
The school prepares students for PET, FCE and CAE English examinations; the oldest group achieve strong academic results in both Polish and international contexts. An 8th Grade Exam Results 2024 image is shown in the Elementary section, indicating published exam results.
The school coordinates most of the mathematics and chemistry competitions and conducts classes with gifted students.
The Canadian School of Warsaw integrates social and emotional learning as a core part of its approach. Mindfulness and emotional intelligence are explicitly included in the program. The curriculum fosters caring, empathy and healthy relationships, and supports students' collaboration, self-reflection and communication. The IB-aligned program emphasizes mutual respect, tolerance and understanding within a diverse community. The preschool and elementary programs include activities such as Yoga & Mindfulness and Emotional Intelligence to develop resilience and social skills.
The school provides access to professionals who support students with special needs, including a nurse, a psychologist and a speech therapist. The Preschool program explicitly states it provides support from a professional nurse, psychologist, speech therapist, and security guard. Elementary students also have access to a psychologist.
The language of instruction is English. The Preschool delivers the Primary Years Programme in English and teaches French and Polish as additional languages. The Elementary Programme uses English as the language of instruction.
Mental wellbeing is supported by access to a psychologist and mindfulness-based activities. The Preschool page notes a psychologist and aims to help students cope with emotional challenges and build resilience. The Elementary page confirms a psychologist is available, and mindfulness and emotional intelligence are incorporated into activities.
A Child Protection Policy covers prevention, detection and response to all forms of child abuse, with staff training and reporting procedures, integrated with the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. A Health and Safety Policy is also provided, detailing procedures to protect students and informing parents of safety procedures.
Preschool admissions: The Preschool accepts children aged 3–6 (with the Principal and Managing Board's consent, the Preschool may admit children older than 2½). Enrollment requires a meeting with the Principal with the Parents and child present, completion of the admission form, signing of the Agreement on Education, payment of a non-refundable one-time admission fee (tariff available), and completion of the medical form. Admission is year-round, subject to places being available; if there is no place, the child can be placed on a reserve list. The Principal decides on admission; the first-come-first-served principle does not apply. Required documents include the Admission Form, Agreement on Education (two originals), payment of the non-refundable admission fee, payment of a deposit, previous school certificates or report cards, and completed CSW documentation (consents and declarations). Scans of previous documents are initially sufficient but must be followed by signed originals, and proof of identity (ID or Passport) for both parents and child is required at submission. Elementary admissions: The School operates an open admission policy and welcomes new students at any time during the academic year if places are available. We accept pupils aged 6–14 (Grade 1–8) and teach in English under the IB Programme alongside the Polish national curriculum. REQUIRED DOCUMENTS: Admission Form; Agreement on Education (two originals); payment of a non-refundable registration fee; payment of a deposit; previous school certificates or report cards; completed CSW documentation (consents and declarations). Scans are initially sufficient; signed originals are required later. The School requires an ID, a Passport, or an equivalent document at submission to confirm identity of both Parents and child. STEPS OF ADMISSION PROCESS: 1. Fill in the online application form ‘Apply Now'; 2) Submit report cards and school certificates (scans initially, originals later); 3) Placement testing (at the Principal's discretion, depending on documents, grade level, and language proficiency); 4) Application review (admission may be granted, denied, or the student placed on a waiting list); 5) Sign the Agreement on Education and complete the Admission Form; 6) Pay registration fees and other required payments; 7) First Grade Admission procedures (if the child attended The Canadian Preschool, School Readiness Diagnosis is needed; if not, an English/Polish test is required plus a homeroom teacher's evaluation; parents may be asked for a psychologist's opinion; testing may involve an interview with the School Principal; testing dates are communicated to parents).
