Introduction

Wroclaw International School (WIS) offers a community-focused environment located on a purpose-built campus in the southern part of the city. As an authorized IB World School, it provides the Primary Years Programme (PYP) for children aged 4 to 11 and the Middle Years Programme (MYP) for those aged 11 to 16. Application fee

Billing schedule and payment terms

All tuition must be paid in Polish Zloty (PLN) by bank transfer; cash is not accepted and bank charges must be covered by the payer. Payments are made to an individually assigned bank account indicated in each student's Education Agreement. Enrollment may be cancelled in writing prior to the first day of classes without penalty except that the Application Fee remains payable.

Other costs and optional fees
- Application-related and incidental fees shown in the published schedule:
- WIS Student ID duplicate: 15 PLN (per copy).
- Campus ID card duplicate: 15 PLN (per copy).
- Changing lock in child's individual locker (after lost key): 40 PLN (per new lock installation).
- After‑school sports programme “Wolves”: 100 PLN per season (three seasons per school year; optional).
- Swimming pool programme: 400 PLN per semester (optional; paid before the first class of each semester; minimum participant requirement applies).
- Other services such as transport, extra‑curricular activities beyond the standard programme, field trips, examination fees and school publications are invoiced separately and paid according to the Education Agreement.

Refund information
- Tuition refunds (for overpayment or when a student leaves mid‑year) are calculated proportionally based on a 10‑month academic year. If a student starts after September 1, tuition is recalculated proportionally at 1/10 of the annual tuition per calendar month of attendance. The Application Fee is generally non‑refundable except where a child is not admitted due to lack of places. Late or unpaid fees may incur statutory default interest and can affect a student's participation or issuance of school reports.

Fee payment options
- Principal payment method: bank transfer in PLN to the individually assigned account specified in the Education Agreement. The published schedule provides the Foundation's bank account details for payment of the Application Fee; all bank charges (including those incurred in Poland) are payable by the payer. Cash is not accepted.

Academics

Wroclaw International School teaches IB (PYP), IB (MYP) for students aged 4 to 16.

Curriculum

IB continuum offered: Primary Years Programme (PYP) for ages 4–12; Middle Years Programme (MYP) for ages 11–16; Diploma Programme (DP) for ages 16–19, implemented by the International High School of Wroclaw. PYP comprises six transdisciplinary themes and six subject areas. MYP comprises ten Learner Profile Attributes, eight Subject Areas, five Areas of Interaction, the Personal Project, and Supplemental Programmes. The Diploma Programme is a two-year university-preparatory course recognized by universities worldwide. The WIS Learner Profile describes the attributes nurtured across all IB programmes. The Wolves Athletic Programme runs for Grades 1–12. The WIS Enrichment Programme offers extracurricular activities open to PYP and MYP students at no additional cost, starting when at least six students register.

Social and Emotional Learning (SEL)

The school has an active Parent–Teacher Association that brings together parents and teachers to support learning and foster community. Admissions

3 simple steps to enroll
Step 1. Submit Candidate Data Form. After initial approval, complete the Application Form along with other required documents. All documents should be sent by mail to the WIS Office or by email to the Admission Officer. Enrollment requires a non-refundable Application Fee; contact the school office for current fees. All documents must be in English; translations should be notarized.

Step 2. WIS administration reviews the application. Testing or screening may be arranged depending on submitted documents, the grade level, and language proficiency.

Step 3. Formal registration and Parent-School Contract signed. Class sizes are limited to 20 students per grade; capacity depends on classroom size. If space is not available, a child will be placed on a waiting list, and parents will be contacted if space becomes available. Placement decisions are made solely by the school administration and are non-negotiable.

Waitlist

The maximum number per grade level is dependent on the physical size of the classroom. At no given time will any class exceed 20 students. Children who cannot be accommodated in a particular grade will be placed on a waiting list. Parents will be contacted if space becomes available.
