The safeguarding and child protection policy defines safeguarding and child protection and sets out procedures for early intervention, reporting concerns, and working with external agencies to promote pupils' welfare. It describes the roles of Cognita safeguarding leads, the school's safeguarding coordinators, and local authority contacts, as well as data protection considerations under GDPR. The policy covers risk areas such as neglect, abuse, radicalisation, exploitation, and online safety, and it aligns with local safeguarding requirements and Cognita's safeguarding framework.
