Introduction

On the edge of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Lycée Français International de Tenerife Jules Verne offers education for ages 3 to 18 within Mission Laïque Française. The school follows the French curriculum and provides a trilingual programme in French, English and Spanish, with English introduced early so students graduate multilingual for international study. From age 3 to 18, the Lycée Français International de Tenerife Jules Verne offers education from preschool to terminale within the Mission Laïque Française network. Multilingualism is the first pillar of the pedagogy: from age 3, students are immersed in French and Spanish, with English gradually introduced so that they become trilingual by graduation, attaining C1-C2 certifications in English and French. The school is an authorized test center for Cambridge exams and for the Alliance Française (DELF/DALF). Diplomas awarded include the Brevet and Baccalauréat (French system) and the Graduado en ESO and Bachillerato (Spanish system). The Bachibac program provides a double diploma (Bachillerato and Baccalauréat) with external exams in French and Spanish, enabling university access in France, Spain and beyond; orientation for post-bac studies in Spain, France, the United States and Europe is provided.
