2. Non-discrimination and placement. The school accepts students without discrimination of gender, race, religion or nationality. 3. Language and ESL. Presently GMIS accepts students in any grade, at any English-language proficiency level. The ESL provision is explained to parents and students during admissions. During the admissions process, a language profile is begun for each student and is used to determine ESL support.
4. Age and testing. A child must be three years old to qualify for admission to Pre-primary. Admission into subsequent grades is determined on the basis of the student's performance. Prospective students are required to take an entrance test in English and Math, which is an important indicator of grade level. In addition to the admission form, prospective families receive a checklist of necessary information needed at the time of admission.
