King's College The British School of Madrid - La Moraleja Junior & Secondary Campus teaches British Curriculum, Cambridge IGCSE, EYFS (Early years foundation stage) for students aged 1 to 16.
British National Curriculum is followed from Pre-Nursery through to IGCSE with expert teaching from UK-trained staff. The Primary School offers a broad and balanced British curriculum delivered in English. From Year 1, Spanish Language and Social Sciences are taught in Spanish, following Spain's Ministry of Education requirements, or students may take Spanish as a Second Language. The program is designed to develop proficiency in both English and Spanish across key stages and uses age-appropriate content aligned with the British framework.
There are approximately 900 students from 58 nationalities. Local Spanish pupils make up about 50% of the student body. Average class size is around 25 pupils, with three to four classes per year group.
IGCSE results are outstanding, with the school recognised as the top-performing IGCSE school in Spain in 2025. The Class of 2025 achieved high levels of success across subjects, including a substantial share of top grades.
After completing the IGCSEs, pupils move to the sister school in Soto de Viñuelas to complete Sixth Form with A Levels or the IB Diploma. Some students gain sports scholarships to US colleges, and alumni pursue studies at institutions including Berklee College of Music and the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.
The school holds High Performance Learning (HPL) accreditation, originally awarded in 2020 and re-accredited in 2023.
The school places emotional well-being and mental health at the heart of its ethos from Early Years, alongside King's Values. A dedicated pastoral and wellbeing leader coordinates support across the curriculum and assemblies to address students' social and emotional needs. There is an on-site counsellor who attends to pupils' emotional wellbeing. Staff receive ongoing training to support learners effectively, and the programme is complemented by interactions with international universities, including an annual University Fair and a Careers Day. Anti-bullying is addressed through PSHE sessions, Circle time and assemblies, and is revisited throughout the year. The school holds the Wellbeing Award for Schools.
Mental wellbeing is a core focus of school life, supported by a dedicated pastoral and wellbeing leader and an on-site counsellor who provide direct support to pupils. Staff receive ongoing training to recognise and respond to mental health needs and to support student resilience. Wellbeing topics are integrated into the curriculum and assemblies, with opportunities for students to discuss concerns openly. The school fosters empathy, resilience, and healthy relationships as part of its wellbeing programme. Anti-bullying and PSHE sessions reinforce positive mental health.
The safeguarding policy aims to actively promote the well-being of pupils, safeguard and promote welfare, and establish clear procedures for dealing with concerns about welfare, abuse, neglect or exploitation. It sets a zero-tolerance approach to child-on-child sexual violence and harassment and promotes a whole-school culture of safety, equality and protection. Staff are trained to carry out safeguarding responsibilities and feel supported in this role, and the school works with parents, local authorities, and partner organisations.

2. Apply Online: Complete the Application Form to formally apply for a place for your child and submit the requested documents through the online application system. There is no application fee.
3. Visit Our Campus: Visit the campus to learn about more than 50 years of educational excellence from the King's College Group. Parents and students are encouraged to visit the school before enrolment. Book a Tour or sign up for an Open Day. If you are unable to visit in person, an online interview can be arranged.
4. Assessments: Year 3 and above complete an entrance examination (non-refundable €30 admissions assessment fee) and an interview (depending on age group). During this process, your family will meet some of the School's leadership team.
5. Receive an Offer: An offer letter is sent to the parents and legal guardians after a successful entrance exam/interview.
6. Confirmation of Admission: Parents/guardians pay an enrolment fee to confirm enrolment as instructed in the offer letter. Congratulations and welcome to King's College School, La Moraleja!
